Fixing MacMini 2009

A few days ago, I heard my MacMini (late 2009 model) making beeping sound.  Checked internet, and found out that 3 beeping sound was a signal of bad memory.  So I spent some time this weekend looking into the issue by opening the MacMini.  I found that among the 2 memory slot, the lower on had the right hinge broken.  But after some dignostic, I found that the problem was definitely not on the hinge.  The real problem was that one of the memory module (a 4Gb memory module) was broken.  I found it out by eliminate and sure enough when only that memory module was in my MacMini, that beep sound rang.  So for now I am living with only 5Gb of memory (1 4Gb memory module and 1 1Gb memory module which original came with my 2Gb model of Mac Mini), and waiting for the RMA number for that broken 4Gb coming so that I can return it and exchange for a working one.
